Im Back!

Woohoo! Im back from Mission Trip!

Its was really a great experience! With the team, food and weather!

I learnt a lot of things through this trip. God really moves in great ways!

On the first day, we met at HarbourFront at 6.45am. The ferry was 8.00am. It was a 2 hrs journey, spent my time watching Tom and Jerry and sleeping. We reached Tanjung Balai ferry point at around 10.00am. The church sent people to fetch us from the point. When we reached the church, GPDI, they were so kind! They prepared the place for us nicely and comfortably, with mattresses-ready sleeping place and food. So nice of them to welcome us. :)

We rested a while, planned for the night youth service for the church and did some admin staff for the rest of the event. It was super cool to know the rest who are not in my SOT team. People like Hiro, Fandy, Zariah, Nicole, Cecilia, Merlin, Judee, Liv, Vincent, Drew and Andre! During the night service, we spend about an hour to pray for a brother who was handicapped. He didnt get healed but the pain was gone. We're still believing for his miracle.

The 2nd day was the relaxed day for alot of us. Few of them went to the different islands to minister. They are really the missionaries!! They went places that the living condition that are really bad. Their water are red in colour! No electricity in the dark! Walking in the jungles! Oh Well, really wanted to go to the small islands, but can only send 3 teams over. So, i gave up the chance and stayed in the church. But nevertheless! I still enjoyed myself indulging with nice and delicious food all over the town, shopping for the famous snacks there and walking around the place! So, my Saturday were filled with food and laughter while the 3 teams are suffering and ministering to the villagers.

The 3rd day was the most fruitful day of all! In the morning, we are all sent to 3 different churches around the island to minister. We really went to the poorest places to minister to the church. My team was sent to Solideo Ministry Church. When we reached the place, it was their Sunday School. I'm really touched by how the kids worshiped God. You can really see that they really love God and yearn for Him. They are only like 6-11 years old, some of them are even younger than that! It really melted my heart. Took some pictures, still finding time to upload them up! We ministered in their main service. The people were so so opened to receive the Word of God. The church has leas than 20 people, but their "AMEN" was like 40 people congregation! During the altar call, the presence of God was so strong. Many teared and bow down in the presence of God. We prayed for them, even though we prayed in English, it seems like they can understand what we are praying for and tears just rolled down. The work of God is just so powerful!

In the night, we ministered to the main church, GPDI. Halfway, during the worship, the church went blackout! But the people were still so fervent worshiping and praying! Around 10 mins later, the work of God begun! The lights and electricity came back! And you could just feel that, BOOM! Presence of God touched the place! During the ministering part was even more amazing! Many of them responded and came to the front. We begin to lay hands and they just fall. I was simply so touched!

In conclusion, the whole trip is really great! No matter where we are ministering, God never fail to leave us by our own.
Will upload the pictures soon! :)

What God wants me to know...

I was trying this quiz few days back on facebook and i got a message!

Felicia got a message that on this day, God wants her to know...
... that what you are most afraid of is where your greatest rewards are.

If all you had to do was wish for something and you would have it, life would be pretty boring, wouldn't it? God placed barriers between us and what we want, so we can enjoy interesting and satisfying lives. God hid our biggest rewards behind the highest barriers - our deepest fears. God wants us to face our fears, and hold ground in their presence, and let them go, and that's how we get out biggest rewards. What are you most afraid of? Say it, just start by saying it.

To think about it, its quite true to huge extent. I do have a lot of fears in life that even right now, i have to overcome.

Sometimes, i may even end up of having "fear of people". I would try to avoid the people whom will hurt me, say negative things to me, never spark a conversation to them. If they talk to me, i'll answer. If they smile at me, i'll smile back, that's all. I thought that this is the way which i can refrain people from hurting me. I do struggle with that sometimes. However, i told myself this is NOT me at all! I've to overcome this no matter what.

Like what the message says: "God wants us to face our fears, and hold ground in their presence, and let them go, and that's how we get out biggest rewards."

I will face my fears, and hold ground in their presence, and let them go!

Missions!

I missed my preaching test today, caught a super bad flu and sore throat last night. Xue Yi caught a fever and cough few days back. Xueting also caught a flu and cough. All of us are sick in the family. Please keep us in your prayers.

I'm leaving for my first Missions tomorrow morning to Tanjung Balai and will be back on Monday. I'm so excited for it! Right now, i'm preparing the sermons, testimony, offering measages and trying to memorize some of the Indo Praise and Worship songs online. Haha!

I'll be in a group with Wendy, Jourdan and Hiro. Hopefully we can travel into the islands and take the sampan. Lol! Jourdan will be our interpretor for the trip! Haha! Thank God i understand some Bahasa Indo, at least i wont get so lost there.

Do keep us in your prayers alright. :)
